Skils has co-organized the ICC Czech The Antitrust conference and has been actively participating in key discussions on the direction of competition law

On April 24, 2025, the second annual international competition law conference ICC Czech The Antitrust took place at the Grandium Hotel, with participation from Skils Law Firm.

Last year’s inaugural conference received significant acclaim for its topics and high-quality contributions, so this year has attracted a large audience and renowned competition law experts not only from the Czech Republic but also from abroad. Key Note Speech was given by Petr Mlsna, Chairman of the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition.

The conference was hosted by Jiří Kindl, a partner at Skils and the Chairman of the Competition Commission at the International Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic, who also participated in a discussion panel on current issues related to the enforcement of Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). In addition to Article 102 TFEU, the conference covered new tools in competition law, the call-in model for mergers, and personal liability of individuals for anti-competitive conduct.

For nearly two decades, Skils has been a leader in various legal fields, including competition law. In line with this, Skils actively participates in crucial discussions on the development and practice within this legal sector. In addition to the mentioned conference, a workshop was held in mid-april at the Supreme Administrative Court on the topic of dawn raids. Jiří Kindl, representing the perspective of legal advocacy, discussed various aspects such as the possibilities of ordering dawn raids, the protection of confidentiality in communication between lawyers and clients, and other facets of dawn raids.
