Skils Has Two New Partners
Skils has two new partners. As of January 1, 2022, they are attorneys-at-law Jiří Bém and Pavel Medek. The number of partners of Skils has thus increased to 16.
“Jiří Bém and Pavel Medek are exceptionally talented and top-notch lawyers who have been part of our team for more than 10 years. Their appointment as partners is a testament to the natural growth of our law firm,” says Karel Muzikář, Managing Partner of Skils.
Jiří Bém joined Skils (formerly Weil, Gotshal & Manges) in 2010. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague (summa cum laude; Mgr., JUDr., Ph.D.), completed an internship at Cardiff University, School of Law and Politics (as part of a doctoral study program), and studied at the Dresden University of Technology, Faculty of Law (Technische Universität Dresden, Juristische Fakultät, within the Erasmus program).
He focuses mainly on dispute resolution, development of infrastructure projects, energy and regulatory, environmental law, obligation law, and restructuring and insolvency.
Pavel Medek joined Skils in 2006. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Palacký University in Olomouc (Mgr.), the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Prague (Ing.), the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague (JUDr.) and the University of Cambridge, Great Britain (LL.M.)
He focuses mainly on dispute resolution, public procurement and contract law in transport and energy.
