The Skils – Endowment Fund Supported Applicants with CZK 1,806,090
The Skils Endowment Fund, which has been contributing to individuals and non-profit organizations in need for 15 years, distributed this spring an amount of CZK 1,806,090.
This year, applications from 2022 and 2023 were evaluated, and although we unfortunately could not accommodate everyone, we are pleased that we helped 52 applicants with our contribution. These are mostly individuals, most often single mothers who take care of handicapped children, but we also support non-profit organizations that provide palliative care, such as the Palliative Care Centre, the Ondrášek Mobile Hospice, or the Athelas Home Hospice. Funds from the Fund are applied mainly to providing help and relief services, purchasing medical and compensation aids, and covering wage costs.
Established in 2009, Skils – Endowment Fund was aimed to support disabled or otherwise disadvantaged individuals, either directly or through medical facilities and other organizations, and to help further culture, art, and education. Its main donor is the law firm Skils, its partners, attorneys, and other employees. Over its active years, it has distributed a respectable amount of CZK 12,666,655 among 422 applicants, many of whom received a contribution more than once.
