Skils provided comprehensive legal advice and support to Plzeňský Prazdroj in all phases of the development of the unique design Barnie mini beer tap equipment.

The legal advice provided by Skils included the preparation of comprehensive contractual and other documentation and legal support in the implementation of the entire project – from the initial hackathon to the subsequent further technical development of the beer tap equipment, including the related technology transfer. Attorneys-at-law of Skils also successfully represented Plzeňský Prazdroj in related proceedings in the field of inventions (patents), utility and industrial designs and trademarks before the Industrial Property Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Barnie is an innovative beer tap equipment, not only in terms of the technology used, but also in terms of design. It uses elements of tank beer technology, and unlike conventional beer tap equipment, its operation does not require any sanitation. Currently, the equipment is in pilot operation in more than 100 cafes and modern bistros in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Bratislava and Košice.
