Jiří Kindl, as the Chairman of the Presidium of the Competition Commission of the ICC CR, moderated a round table with the Office for the Protection of Competition

Jiří Kindl, partner of Skils, as the Chairman of the Presidium of the Competition Commission ICC CR (International Chamber of Commerce Czech Republic) moderated a round table between representatives of the management of the Office for the Protection of Competition and members of the Competition Commission, or other members of the ICC CR.

The round table took place at the premises of the ICC CR in Prague on April 21, 2022. The speakers included Petr Mlsna, the Chairman of the Office, Kamil Nejezchleb, the Vice-Chairman of the Office, Igor Pospíšil, the Director of the Cartels Department, and Lenka Svobodová, the Director of the Department of Dominance, Mergers and Vertical Agreements. The subject of the discussion included the current topics of competition law and the application practice of the Office, such as the issue of imposing penalties for anti-competitive behavior, taking into account the argumentation of sustainability in the application of competition law, the current priorities of the Office in the field of restrictive practices or issues of the planned Amendment to the Act on the Protection of Competition.

The Competition Commission was established by the ICC CR in 2022 with the aim of addressing current issues related to competition in the Czech Republic and the Central European region. Jiří Kindl chairs the five-member Presidium which is in charge of executive management of the Commission’s activities.
