Jiří Kindl, as Chairman of the Board of the Commission on Competition of the ICC CR, moderated the round table with Office for the Protection of Competition

Jiří Kindl, a partner at Skils and the chairman of the Commission on Competition of the ICC CR (International Chamber of Commerce Czech Republic) moderated a roundtable discussion between representatives of the Office for the Protection of Competition and members of the Competition Commission, as well as other ICC Czech Republic members and attendees.

The roundtable took place on 9 September 2025 at the Komerční banka premises on Wenceslas Square and was attended by the Office´s top-level representatives – the Chairman Petr Mlsna and the Vice-Chair of the Competition Section Kamil Nejezchleb.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss current topics in competition law and the practice of the Office, particularly the Office’s considerations regarding proposed amendments to the Act on the Protection of Competition aimed at strengthening its powers, future priorities in the area of restrictive practices, developments in case law concerning on-site inspections at competitors’ business premises, prohibited agreements and other restrictive practices in the labour market, and current issues in merger control.

The Commission on Competition was established by ICC Czech Republic in 2022 to address key issues related to competition in the Czech Republic and the Central European region. Jiří Kindl chairs the five-member Board, which is responsible for the executive management of the Commission’s activities.
