Skils again succeeded before the Regional Court in Brno in the matter of the so-called vertical price fixing, now in the case of the company Garland

On July 3, 2024, the Regional Court in Brno annulled in its entirety the decision of the Chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition, which imposed a fine of CZK 95 461 000 CZK on the company Garland distributor for an alleged vertical price fixing. At the time the given decision was issued, the absolute amount of the fine was the historically highest fine imposed by the ÚOHS for the alleged conduct of a given type. This is yet another success of Skils in representing clients in proceedings regarding the so-called vertical price fixing, or resale price maintenance agreements. In the past it succeeded against the Office for the Protection of Competition, for example in the case of the company Baby Direkt, both before the Regional Court in Brno and the Supreme Administrative Court.
