FORTUNA GAME represented by Skils – another significant success before the Office for the Protection of Competition
The Competition Law team of the Skils law firm has achieved another success in proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition which confirms its top-tier reputation. The team managed to secure the termination of administrative proceedings against FORTUNA GAME. FORTUNA GAME faced, together with companies from the Tipsport group, allegations of entering into a prohibited cartel agreement.
After a series of judicial reviews concerning the legality of dawn raids, the Constitutional Court ruled in May this year that the Office’s procedure in conducting raids in the matter was unlawful. These defects affected all dawn raids carried out in the case and resulted in the inadmissibility of evidence obtained during them. Subsequently, the Office for the Protection of Competition closed the administrative proceedings which had been initiated in 2019 without finding any infringement.
The case was also reported by medias, for example here.
