Jiří Kindl and Ondřej Najman spoke at the conference Horizons of Intellectual Property and Competition Law

Jiří Kindl, a partner at Skils, and attorney Ondřej Najman gave lectures at a conference organized by the Czech National Group of the International League of Competition Law (LIDC), which focused on current topics and challenges at the intersection of intellectual property law and competition law.

During a panel dedicated to pressing issues in competition law, Jiří Kindl addressed the topic of intellectual property and competition in the pharmaceutical sector. The discussion also featured contributions from Kamil Nejezchleb, Vice-Chair of the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS), and Michal Petr, Head of the Department of International and European Law at the Faculty of Law at Palacký University in Olomouc.

Ondřej Najman’s presentation explored the regulation of abuse of relative market power among businesses in both Czech and international contexts. His insights were based, among other sources, on a recent report prepared in collaboration with Jiří Kindl for the Czech National Group of LIDC. The report is available here.
